You must have just started vaping or planning to get into it. You will come across several flavors in the market. You might be wondering what an e-liquid is and why the use of it means smoking a cigarette.

The very purpose of e-cig is to simply offer a certain portion of nicotine to the user. For doing this, the nicotine is mixed with a liquid which is referred to as the e juice or the e-liquid. The e-liquid is easily soaked by the cotton and is then vaporized within the heated coil. It is the resulting vapor which is absorbed by the user.

What is E-Liquid?

E-liquid is the most basic element of e-liquid and is mainly composed of four elements like propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, flavorings, nicotine, and water. PG and VG are common ingredients and are considered to be harmless. They are organic compounds and is to be found in an extensive range of products. You will also find them in food items like ice-cream, coffee-based beverages, and whipped dairy products.

PG and VG: What is It?

Both VG and VG differ in the properties. You have to combine them for obtaining an optimal basis for the vaporization of nicotine. They are responsible for the qualities of better ejuice.

Propylene glycol or PG is a runny and thin liquid that can carry the flavor pretty well. It is responsible for the throat hit that is caused by the vaping liquids. It is due to its ability to carry the flavor efficiently, the e-liquid are mixed with PG before the addition of other fluids.

Vegetable glycerin or VG, on the other hand, is thicker than VG and is similar to a gel. It is sweet in taste and can mask the flavor of the e-liquid. In comparison to PG is smoother and causes no throat hit.
